2003年渡加し、ノヴァスコシア州のRizsanyi Guitarsで ルシアーGeorge Rizsanyi氏のもとフラットトップ、アーチトップギターの製作技法を学ぶ。帰国後、㈲ティーズギターにてアコースティックギター、ウクレレ製作を担当。2008年磐田市にて竹下楽器・BLUE STRINGSを立ち上げる。2012年浜松市の現在の場所に工房を移転。多くのオーダーを抱える人気製作家の一人である。
In 2003, Takeshita moved to Canada and acquired expertise in the production of flat-top and arch-top guitars from Luthiier George Rizsanyi at Rizsanyi Guitars in Nova Scotia, Canada. After returning to Japan, he was responsible for crafting acoustic guitars and ukuleles at T’s Guitar. In 2008, he established Takeshita Musical Instruments BLUE STRINGS in Iwata City. In 2012, the studio was relocated to its current location in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. Takeshita is a sought-after craftsman with a high volume of orders.
