In the early 2010s, Iwane gained recognition for his invention, the Type-Vibrato, a flat-top guitar equipped with a Bigsby tremolo unit. Its distinctive design, reflecting his refined skills, sets it apart. In addition to the Type-Vibrato, the Simple series (created in collaboration with Last Guitar), which eliminates excessive ornamentation, has also been highly popular.
